Mapping the roots first. An x-ray shows the root shape and its relationship to nerves and sinuses, so there are no surprises mid-procedure.
For a tooth that is fully visible. Loosened and lifted out in one piece under local freezing. Typically $150–$350 per tooth.
For broken or buried teeth. A small incision and sometimes sectioning of the tooth. Commonly $300–$600. See also oral surgery.

A tooth extraction may be recommended for severe tooth decay, advanced gum disease, impacted wisdom teeth, overcrowding, or a tooth that has been severely damaged by trauma.
We offer sedation options to ensure a comfortable experience during the procedure. Most patients feel little to no discomfort during the extraction.
Most simple tooth extractions can be completed within 20–40 minutes, while more complex procedures, such as impacted wisdom tooth extractions, may take longer.
Your dentist will examine your teeth, take any necessary X-rays, discuss treatment options, administer anesthesia, and carefully remove the tooth. Afterward, you will receive detailed aftercare instructions.
Recovery typically takes 1-2 weeks, but full bone healing may take a few months.
For the first few days, stick to soft foods. Avoid hot or hard foods until the area heals.
Soft foods such as yogurt, applesauce, soup, mashed potatoes, and smoothies are recommended during the first few days. Avoid hard, crunchy, spicy, or very hot foods.
